Catherine of Aragon was happy sometimes
I'll save her as my lock screen
Capturing an image of fleeting grace
In a medium normally dry and stale
Fine and cool
I've discovered magic now
And I can tell you the truth
However it appears to me
Will be the same to you
Fundamentally true forever
Waiting in the rain doesn't know what it is
But it has such a strong identity
Capturing an image of time and place
On a day that's otherwise grey and lonely
Here and cool
I've discovered magic now
And I can tell you the truth
However it appears to me
Will be the same to you
Fundamentally true forever
I can process it in a lot of ways
More ways than I can count,
I can process it in a lot of ways

Frankly, I go for bedroom recordings. Why... well, in such a setting with (usually) limited technical resources, the only way out is real good songwriting! And Tom Milsom aka "Gemini Eye" evidently has plenty of the required talent. "Alien Home" is a fun album with great lyrics and clever, ever-surprising song ideas, demonstrating that even a most tasty meal doesn't need more than simple ingredients. More favorite tracks besides "Home": "Charlie's Birthday Song", "A Little Irony", and "West Street". Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
