Not the pressed white things you see
In the window passing by
None of your thoughts are hiding in there
When you see them on the floor
As your boy steps out of them
All of your thoughts are hiding in there
And all the lines you leave behind
Will be re-read and re-defined
Again and again
Again and again
Even gold and ringed with waves on grown-up paper
I can see the real things you've allowed to linger
All of your thoughts are hiding in there
All of your thoughts are hiding in there
Trying not to overthink what needs preserving
Every day to draw a line that isn't stupid
Maybe my thoughts are hiding in there
Maybe my thoughts are hiding in there
It's a nice idea to make
Symbols signify our song
All of our thoughts
All of our thoughts
Were in there all along
One of my favourite albums ever! Gives a lot of beautifully strong emotional vibes. I'll be listening to this masterpiece till the end of time burtalseitan
Frankly, I go for bedroom recordings. Why... well, in such a setting with (usually) limited technical resources, the only way out is real good songwriting! And Tom Milsom aka "Gemini Eye" evidently has plenty of the required talent. "Alien Home" is a fun album with great lyrics and clever, ever-surprising song ideas, demonstrating that even a most tasty meal doesn't need more than simple ingredients. More favorite tracks besides "Home": "Charlie's Birthday Song", "A Little Irony", and "West Street". Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
